  • Overview

    This position is responsible for the supervision and management of a Team of Purchasing Coordinators to accomplish organizational and department priorities.  Priorities include overseeing the processing of indirect materials and services purchase orders; creation and maintenance of vendor master data; invoice error resolution; and purchase order approval within established guidelines.  This position will be accountable to manage all aspects of the regional Small Business Administration function and be the designated Small Business Liaison Officer. This position will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of the necessary Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the areas of responsibility.


    • Mentors, leads, coaches and develops employees; manages and addresses performance issues; and makes hiring, firing and compensation decisions to ensure individual and organizational performance currently and in the future.

      • Communicates site/department goals, expectations and performance to staff.
      • Sets goals, metrics, and expectations for staff with their input.
      • Ensures conditions (time, equipment, etc) necessary for staff performance are met and barriers to performance are removed.
      • Measures direct reports' performance and contributions to team performance and provides feedback.
      • Collaborates with direct reports to identify and enable their skill and knowledge development.
      • Rewards and recognizes staff and team performance to build engagement.
      Ensures direct report positions are filled timely with the best qualified candidate(s).
      • Prepare the annual Small Business Administration plan, amend as required for approval by the relevant government authority. Prepare and submit the required governmental reporting, complete and in a timely manner.
      • Fulfill all requirements as the Small Business Administration Program Manager for Hikma. Create, maintain and conduct a periodic review of the relevant Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for the assigned areas of responsibility.Own SAP vendor master data policy and procedure at a regional level and support global initiatives.
      • Lead SAP Purchase to Pay training as required with support of L&D group.
      • Support Sourcing Managers as required with tactical SAP, and data support.
      • Support and track contracting activities within assign categories.
      • Manage indirect purchase order closure process working with business partners to ensure purchase orders are closed in a timely manner.


      • High sensitivity for compliance with process and regulatory requirements.
      • Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required.
      • Knows the job relevant GxP requirements and internal Policies and Procedures.
      • Knowledge of Purchasing practices.
      • Ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally in a matrix team.
      • ERP / SAP experience.
      • Experience using and manipulating Excel Spreadsheets.
      • Data analysis and report preparation.
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills.



      Bachelor’s Degree required plus 1- 3 years of procurement experience preferred.  Preferred field of study Business and/or Supply Chain and experience in a generic pharmaceutical industry.
