  • Overview

    The Benefits Analyst participates in the implementation and day to day administration of the Company’s benefit programs. Day-to-day administrative activities within the benefits department to include completion of transactional activities associated with employee enrollment or changes to plan participation and provide customer service support in addressing employee benefit related issues in a proactive, timely manner.


    • Primary responsible for the benefits administration including accurate payment of vendor monthly billings and performing billing reconciliation. Provides management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends.
    • Monitors all financial reporting claim information from vendors in order to forecast the company’s financial liability.
    • Assists in the development of business processes. Responsible for data necessary to complete government compliance activities (5500s, audits, etc.), employee mailings, vendor billings, coordinating data collection and updating numerous reports for management. Assures processes and procedures are in place to capture and maintain consistent and accurate benefit related data. Assists with employee data auditing and reporting.
    • Maintains employee confidence by keeping benefit information confidential
    • Investigates and resolves benefit claim/eligibility issue escalated by members. Coordinates resolutions through review of applicable materials and discussions with vendors.
    • Participates in the annual enrollment process. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally to all levels of employees regarding benefits provisions. Adheres to strict deadlines and is able to multitask and coordinate internal resources with external vendors.
    • Work collaboratively with vendors to leverage their strengths in addressing issues with enrollment, participation or benefits coverage when they arise.
    • Assists with developing employee communications, new hire materials, annual enrollment guides and periodic HR newsletters. Ensures benefit materials and are placed on the company’s intranet.
    • Strong knowlege of 401K.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact positively and efficiently with the HR team, employees and external partners.
    • Proven technical, analytical, problem identification and problem solving skills with the ability to apply rigorous logic and methods to develop effective and efficient solutions.
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of benefit laws and regulations, including ERISA, COBRA, Affordable Care Act, FMLA and Statutory leaves.
    • Good technical skills and understanding HRIS, testing and file interfaces. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint, Knowledge of SAP.



    Bachelor Degree or equivalent certification

    5 – 8 year’s related benefits analyst experience.

    Travel may be required.
