  • Overview

    Under the supervision of the Associate Director, Contracts, this individual will be responsible for the managing the contractual relationship of assigned accounts in adherence to the policies of the commercial contract management team within the Contracts Department.

    Responsibilities

    Contract Language SME - Prepare and review of contract documents including, but not limited to CDA’s / NDA’s, Contract Terms and Conditions, RFI’s, RFP’s, Questionnaires in accordance with West-Ward Contract Templates.

    • Contract Negotiation – Engage relevant stakeholders in negotiation decisions that align with West-Ward’s business objectives.   .
    • Own and facilitate West-Ward RFP Process.
    • Effectively manage a high volume of Contract Documents including, but not limited to, correspondence, changes/deviations, amendments, clarifications and renewal schedules.
    • Provide contract summaries and ensure contract execution in accordance with company policy.
    • Communicate on an ongoing basis with internal and external business partners to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
    • Disseminate information to appropriate internal parties as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Understanding of contracts and contract terms including knowledge of contracting for generic pharmaceuticals in both the Institutional (Hospital) and Retail (Wholesaler, Retail Chain) settings.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to meet aggressive deadlines and complete multiple assignments in a timely and professional manner.
    • Strong problem solving & analytical skills; seeks solutions to resolve issues and challenges.
    • Ability to simultaneously handle multiple priorities.
    • Experienced is an enterprise management system required - SAP and Vistex knowledge strongly preferred.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

    Qualifications

    Minimum 2 years contracting experience, preferably in the generic pharmaceutical industry.

    • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience in Pharmaceutical environment
    • Experience supporting the Sales and Marketing organization of a generic pharmaceutical company is highly desirable.
